Project Spotlight: Coleto Estate Primary Bathroom

Welcome to our latest Project Spotlight, where we take you behind the scenes of one of our favorite remodels - the Coleto Estate primary bathroom. What began as a standard, builder-grade space has been completely transformed into a serene, spa-like retreat rich with texture, luxury, and thoughtful detail. This renovation embodies the perfect balance of high function and high design, creating a true sanctuary within the home.

Before: A Typical Builder-Grade Bathroom

The original layout, finishes, and fixtures lacked the personality, warmth, and elevated amenities our client envisioned. With a desire for a calming, restorative environment, and an opportunity to create something truly custom, we reimagined the space from the ground up.

After: A Luxury Spa-Like Experience

One of the most striking elements of this remodel is the fully enclosed wet room on the left side of the bathroom. By wrapping the shower, bench, and tub in a floor-to-ceiling glass wall, we created a steam-ready environment that feels like stepping into a luxury spa.

A hidden rotating wall panel allows steam to escape when needed, keeping the space comfortable and flexible for daily use.

Thoughtful Materiality

• Wood-look tile on the ceiling adds warmth while providing essential waterproofing for steam.

• The built-in bench, wrapped in stunning quartzite, offers both beauty and durability.

• Two elegant unlacquered brass shower heads and coordinating shower niches deliver a luxe, timeless feel.

• Above the soaking tub, an outdoor-rated rattan chandelier adds organic texture and a soft, inviting glow - a perfect counterbalance to the clean lines of the glass enclosure.

A Functional Yet Refined Vanity Wall

On the right side of the bathroom, we designed a custom white oak double vanity with distinctive skinny shaker doors and a generous configuration of drawers to maximize everyday usability. Two integrated tower cabinets provide concealed storage for linens, electronics, and other necessities, keeping the countertop beautifully clutter-free.

The materials in this zone elevate the aesthetic even further:

• A backsplash of handcrafted zellige tile brings movement, sheen, and artisanal charm.

• The quartzite countertop ties seamlessly to the wet room bench, grounding the overall palette.

• Unlacquered brass plumbing fixtures add warmth and sophistication, subtly aging over time for a lived-in elegance.

Seamless & Sophisticated Flooring

To unify the entire space, we installed a marble mosaic tile floor throughout. The pattern provides gentle visual interest, while the curbless transition into the wet room ensures a continuous, barrier-free experience. This detail not only enhances accessibility but also underscores the spa-like atmosphere of the whole design.

A True Retreat at Home

The completed Coleto Estate primary bathroom is a testament to thoughtful craftsmanship, intentional materials, and the transformative power of design. What was once a standard, predictable layout is now a luxurious escape filled with function, beauty, and serene sophistication.
